![]() ![]() I used anime for my research because I assumed that the sound and visuals of anime would help students learn not only the Japanese language but also the cultural background of the language. This study explores how Japanese anime influences learning elementary Japanese language among American college students. However, since both the textbook`s main purpose is on actual communication, it is possible that they use topic syllabus even at the first stage of beginner level. This syllabus is a syllabus mainly suitable for learners in basic to intermediate levels. The results show that two subject textbooks used the same topic syllabus approach at the same basic level. We analysed the flow of learning contents and the composition of the textbook through teaching material analysis by Yoshioka (2016) theory. These two books were analysed from the point of view of teaching material analysis. These two textbooks are for students who learn L2 for a non-native speaker. ![]() The main data are the textbook of "Marugoto A1" and "J Bridge for Beginner Vol. This research is a comparative qualitative study. This study aims to compare two teaching materials that focus on communication competency. Grammatical items and example sentences necessary for continuing on to the advanced level are also included.This study examines teaching material on basic level especially textboo that focusing on communication in Japanese education. The 12 chapters in the book cover all grammar needed to be fluent at the intermediate level. The book also teaches how to express opinions in many day to day situations. In Chuukyuu II, conversations are taken to the next step with the learner now studying how to praise, console and show empathy in conversational situations. The volume also helps learners comprehend the writer’s intentions, writing style, and distinctive use of language.Ĭhuukyuu I included conversations about negotiations and day-to-day problems.
